They took a good selection of B-movie character actors, a typical 1930s story with a mix of brassy reporters, mobsters and a dim cop and a plot featuring a damsel in distress being saved by the romantic lead, and made an entertaining 75 minute diversion. If you keep in mind that this is a fantasy, the weaker elements of the story won't bother you. Oh, it's not
His Girl Friday, but it's still quite good for a Mascot production.
Roger Pryor and
Heather Angel are very good in the lead roles.
I downloaded the 585MB AVI file. Aside from a few very short audio dropouts, and a framing problem through a part of the movie, it was in fine shape.
